I would like to point out to all on my f-list that my current non-standard facial hair is a result of a charity project at work, not a lifestyle change. Me and Bunny are still together.

I've borrowed the Rogue Trader book (new 40k RPG) and am now very enthusiastic about dusting off my GMing hat and running a game.

It's good to get back in the saddle. Swashbuckling space pirates mixed with Grim'n'Dark(TM) 40k fun can't possibly go wrong.

So the BSG boardgame is really good. However it is important to read the rules properly before dealing cards, otherwise EVERYONE turns out to be a Cylon. On the plus side, it meant we all won.

I've just been set up with a phone line and now I need to look at who I'm going to sign up with for the Internet.

Any suggestions? Remember that I'm not going to be torrenting or downloading massive amounts of video.

Back from the event and now with internet access at work.

Very fun event, run very smoothly from start to finish. Never had to wonder about what I was supposed to be doing. It was also nice that we had so many monsters so the players could spend all of their time IC (although I would have been happy to monster).

I would also like to point out Eli's plan of "when dragon turns up I'm going to hit him with my sword until he dies" worked slightly better than I would have expected.

And after the least successful attempt to get myself killed ever I will now be playing a chirpy young alchemist.

Good job reffs, good job monsters and good job to everyone else involved.

I'm sorry to report that Smokey died last night.

This makes me sad.

So I ordered a new computer from the Internet.

Long story short, does anyone fancy giving me a lift up to Clifton Moor this evening before 20:00 to pick it up? Apparently they knocked and nobody was in, then posted a card through my door. This is a lie.

I have a nasty infection in one of my teeth so I've been given some strong antibiotics by the dentist. These have the interesting side-effect that if I consume any alcohol (even the booze in a sherry trifle) I will be violently sick.

The dentist also gave me some very strong mouthwash which is 7% alcohol.

This sounds like a recipe for fun!

Smokey continues to womble shakily through life. I thought he had died last night so I opened his cage up and started to pull him out, at which point he woke up and grumped at me.

I'm writing a D&D one off and while looking through the book I realised just how damned Communist the Warlord class is.

I mean, look at how many times the word "Comrade" is used. Very suspicious.

The hamster escaped yesterday when I was at LARP. After frantically searching for about half an hour I decided to snooze and let his hamstery snufflings wake me up.

Which they did three hours later. The insulting thing is, when I grabbed him and put him back in his cage he didn't even TRY to avoid me or look surprised. He just grinned, smugly.

I read in the paper today:

I got the key for my new house today. It's very nice and I can start moving in now.

Unfortunately I spent most of the day throwing up and crapping my guts out due to some random stomach bug thing.

I have just lost hardcore points. It turns out that the muscle in my shoulder isn't torn, I just have a painful abduction (or abdication or something) which means it is inflamed.

If it was torn my arm would be all weak and limp.

And I now have somewhere to live.

Hurrah. I shall be living on my own like some kind of anti-social hermit.
